COVID-19 testing is required prior to all procedures at Southington Surgery Center.  It is important to self-quarantine (go straight home after the test, do not go the store, gas station, or any public places) from the time of your test until the day of your procedure.

For patients with surgery scheduled within the next two weeks please call your surgeon and reschedule your procedure if you have:

  • Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Have, or have had over the last 48 hours fever, chills or muscle pain
  • Sore throat or new loss of taste or smell
  • Had exposure in the last 14 days to anyone with flu-like symptoms, fever, shortness of breath, or cough or had exposure in the last 14 days to anyone who has recently been quarantined

To protect our patients, guests, and staff from illness, all incoming patients and visitors coming to the surgery center will be subject to a screening protocol. You and your visitor will be asked the above questions and have your temperature taken*.

*If screeners determine that a visitor is a potential health risk, that person will not be allowed to enter the building and will be asked to consult their personal health provider for further guidance.
